Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alan Wayne Pinel, a beloved husband, dedicated city worker, and decorated military veteran. Born on July 27, 1948, in Acushnet, MA, Alan spent his life serving his community in Fall River, Massachusetts, before his peaceful departure on April 15, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Alan was the embodiment of the saying, "A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." He was a man of integrity and resilience, working tirelessly for the Department of Public Works in Fall River until his retirement. His unwavering commitment to his job and his community was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Diane Pinel, with whom he shared countless cherished moments. Alan's life was defined not just by his dedication to his work, but also by his profound love for his wife, family, and friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Alfred Pinel, and mother, Teresa Ramunno, Alan left behind a legacy of service, love, and dedication.

Alan is survived by his loving wife Diane, and two sons Michael and Nicholas.
