It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Albano Estrela Miranda, who stepped into eternity on May 27, 2025.

Born on February 1, 1941, in Ribeira Grande, Portugal, Albano was a cherished husband, loving Father, grandfather, a trusted friend, and a respected member of the Fall River community in Massachusetts.

As the great Portuguese poet, Fernando Pessoa, wrote, "To be great, be whole; Exclude nothing, exaggerate nothing that is not you. Be whole in everything. Put all you are into the smallest thing you do." Albano lived this philosophy every day of his life. Albano was a man of many interests and talents, but perhaps he was best known for his skill and dedication as a mechanic in the textile industry. For 29 years, he plied his trade with dedication and a work ethic that was nothing short of inspiring. His gentle wisdom, unwavering reliability, and unique sense of humor were the threads that wove together the tapestry of his remarkable life.

Albano was a man who believed in the value of hard work, tough as nails attitude and the importance of resilience, a belief he held firmly until his retirement. Albano was not just a mechanic; he was a craftsman who took immense pride in his work. He was an inspiration to everyone who has ever met him. Albano was predeceased by his beloved parents, Everisto Miranda and Olga Miranda. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication in his wife Maria Miranda, sons Michael and Albano Jr. daughter in law Linda, his grandchildren Vincent, Noah and Emma. His memory will be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Visitors may pay their respects to Albano at the Southcoast Funeral Home on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 08:30 to10: 15 AM, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA. A Mass of Christian

Burial will be held in his honor at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on the same day, followed by a committal service with Chapel Prayers at Notre Dame Cemetery and Mausoleums at 12:00 PM.

As we bid farewell to Albano, let us remember him not with sadness but with gratitude for having had the privilege of sharing his journey knowing this great man, friend, father, husband and grandfather.
