Obituary

It is with loving memories and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Talbot, a man of great intellect, ambition, and a compassionate heart. Albert was born on the 20th of December, 1940, in the bustling city of New Bedford, Massachusetts, later a resident of Fall River until his transition on the 19th of October, 2024. Albert was a man whose life was dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and the sharing of that knowledge with those around him. As Albert Einstein once said, "The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive." Albert exemplified this in every aspect of his life.

Albert was a gifted and talented chemist who spent his professional life in the field of Chemical Sciences. His intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for his work were infectious, inspiring many of his colleagues and friends. Albert's ambitious nature drove him to make significant contributions to the field of chemistry, using his smart mind and unwavering dedication to push the boundaries of what was known and understood. His work ethic and devotion to his craft served as an inspiration to countless individuals in his field and beyond.

Although Albert never married, his life was far from devoid of love. His parents, the late Albert and Hazel Talbot of Fall River, instilled in him a deep sense of compassion and the importance of caring for others. He carried this loving nature with him throughout his life, touching the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His home in New Bedford was always filled with warmth and laughter; a place where friends and relatives could feel loved and accepted.

In his retirement, Albert remained active, continuing to read, learn and engage with his community. He was a beacon of knowledge and wisdom, always willing to lend an ear or share a word of advice. Albert was a man who truly understood the beauty in giving, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
