Americo
Pacheco
Apr 25, 1945 — Feb 11, 2026
We bid farewell to a beloved father, brother and friend, Americo "Mac" Pacheco, who passed away on February 11, 2026. Born on April 25, 1945, in St Michael Azores, Americo spent his formative years surrounded by the natural beauty of his homeland. He later moved to Fall River, Massachusetts, where he became a cherished member of the community. Americo served in the US Army and was a long standing member of the Liberal Club in Fall River.
Americo's love for family was profound. His nurturing spirit was seen in his relationship with his sons, Matthew and Steven, whom he loved dearly. Americo was preceded in death by his dear parents, Jose and Elvira Pacheco. We are comforted by the thought that Americo is now reunited with them. Americo was the brother of the late Maria Luisa Raposo, Manuel Pacheco and Jose Pacheco. He is survived by his brothers, Virgil, David and Carlos Pacheco and his sister, Isaura Moniz. Along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Public visitation for Americo "Mac" will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, 08:00 AM - 09:30 AM the Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at the Good Shepherd Parish, 1598 South Main Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. The committal service will be held at 11:00 am at the Notre Dame Cemetery and Mausoleums, 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River, Massachusetts.
Americo's life was a testament to the power of nurturing, of growth, and of enduring love. His legacy remains in the hearts of those he touched. We encourage friends and family to leave memories and upload photos celebrating Americo's life on his memorial page. We will miss him every day, but his memory will never fade away.
The funeral home off street parking lot is available on the corner of Pleasant and Boutwell Street.
