Ann (Frasier) Rybka 92, of East Freetown passed away on Thursday, February 05, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she was the last of 13 children of the late Manuel Frasier and Ann (Sylvia) Frasier.

Ann was predeceased by her brothers; John, Manuel, Frank, George, Henry, Edward, Richard, and her sisters; Mary (Harrington), Florence (Botelho), Evelyn (Macedo), Helen and Elsie (Rego).

Ann met her future husband John Rybka, while working at Cornell Dubilier Electronics in New Bedford. Three years later they married and shared a long loving marriage for 57 years.

Ann and John have three loving children: Russell and his wife Ann of North Yarmouth, Maine. Gail (Rybka) Sheredy and her husband William of Berkley, Massachusetts and Jeffrey of East Freetown, Massachusetts. Ann has four grandchildren, Ryan Rybka of Albany, New York, William Sheredy of Berkley, Massachusetts, Michael Sheredy of Lakeville, Massachusetts and Krystyna Rybka of Brookline, Massachusetts.

Ann was a homemaker, prioritizing raising her children. After her children had grown, she returned to the workplace in local garment factories and housekeeping.

She will always be remembered for her love, her contagious humor and her fierce independence. Ann enjoyed living in her own home and driving around in her bright red Volkswagen Beetle well into her late eighties. Her son Jeffrey supported this independence by always caring for her in both good times and bad times.

To her grandchildren, she will always be fondly recalled as the most caring grandmother. She was the grandmother who always had a piece of candy in her pocket and made Christmas the most special by her world-famous Chocolate Cream pies that no one else can make just right. This little lady with a big personality was known to all her nieces and nephews as Auntie Ann or Tia Annie – the aunt at the center of all her family get-togethers.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday February 11, 2026 at Saint Mary's cemetery at 1213 Kempton street/Route 6 in New Bedford at 11:00 AM which friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend.
