Anna "Granny Fuzz " Marquis , 81 of Swansea, Massachusetts, passed away on August 28, 2025 after a long illness.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Walter "Barney" Tokarz and the late Josephine Swiader-Tokarz and sister of the late Walter M. Tokarz and of the late Janice Ortiz.
Prior to retiring she worked for 30 years as an associate for the former Bradlees Department Store in Fall River, Mass. and as a Manager for 3 years at K-Mart in Hyannis, Mass.
She loved going out with her friends and family and watching her grandson and granddaughter grow up. She enjoyed taking her grandson to play basketball with his friends.
Anna also loved praying, cooking, going to bingo, Foxwoods, playing cards, doing puzzle books, making puzzles, playing games on her iPad, watching wrestling and basketball games.
She is survived by her grandson Nathan Major of Swansea, her granddaughter Jaleesa Day, with her children, Ann's' great grandchildren Olu Doherty and Janiyah Day of Virginia. Also, one of her nieces Angela Sailsman and husband Kirk Sailsman and their children, Ann's' great nephew's John Gillard, Kalani Ortiz Sailsman and great nieces Jatyshia Sailsman and her son Akatsuki Dearth of Rhode Island.
Her kindness , sense of humor, loving spirit for her family and friends will be greatly missed.
Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA.
A Catholic Funeral Home Service will follow visitation at 12:00 PM presided over by Father Michael Racine. Services will conclude with a procession to Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Road, Fall River to bring Anna to her final resting place.
