FALL RIVER... Beatrice L. (Bateman) Brown, 80, of Fall River, formerly of Newport passed away January 21, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Kenneth R. Brown to whom she would have been married for 60 years in February. Born in Newport, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Budlong) Bateman. Mrs. Brown was a loving wife and mother and dedicated her life to her family. She left school at a young age to care for her sisters and became like a mother to them due to their parents full time employment. After marriage, she was blessed to dote on her children, and then grandchildren and later great grandchildren and wouldn't have it any other way. She loved her endless hours spending time with her sisters and spending time in Florida. Along with her husband, she is survived by her children: Kenneth Brown Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fl., Brenda Isherwood of New Bedford, Keith Brown of Fall River, and Debra Brown of Fall River; her sisters: Sandra Langstaff of Port St. Lucie, FL and Barbara Biastre of Newport; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also the sister of the late Samuel Bateman Jr. There are no services scheduled at this time.
