Born February 11th 1944, Bernadette Medeiros (Gendreau), daughter to Roland J Gendreau and Marie Gendreau (Bourgeois)
Pre-deceased by both parents, son Gregory Allen Medeiros and former husband Anthony Medeiros.
She leaves behind her son Michael Anthony Medeiros, wife Julia Medeiros (Swiader) of Fall River, granddaughter Amanda L Corbin, husband Jacob of Fall River, grandson Zachary Medeiros, fiancé Syndey Abbott of East Freetown, granddaughter Mya Medeiros, fiancé Elvin Febus of Weymouth and great grandson Ayden Corbin of Fall River.
She was the sister of Jeanne Fontaine (Gendreau), late husband Gerald O. Fontaine Sr. of Swansea, Roland R. Gendreau of Weymouth, Mary Newton (Gendreau), husband Brian Newton of Lehigh Acres, Fl, Claudette Dupuis (Gendreau) of New Bedford, Donald B. Gendreau, wife Deborah Gendreau (Kazen) of Fall River, Guy C. Gendreau, wife Lorraine Gendreau (Lariviere) of Fall River and Rachel P. Thibault, husband Eugene of Fall River.
She was the aunt of the late Kathy Hathaway (Pavao), Gerald O. Fontaine Jr., and Jeannine Blanchard (Fontaine). She leaves many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was an experienced sewing machine operator for many years. She worked at the former Shelburne Shirt and Kenneth Dress, as well as Vanson Leathers in Fall River. She also worked for Stop and Shop as a cashier for many years and New Bedford Council on Aging. Her hobbies included cooking and baking, sewing, line dancing, and she enjoyed gardening. She loved HSN and QVC.
Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a memorial mass at Espirito Santo Catholic Church celebrating Bernadette’s life on Saturday, September 19th at 10 AM, 311 Alden Street, Fall River.
Services are humbly entrusted into the care of Southcoast Funeral Homes at Ferreira Chapel "Celebrating A Life Well Lived"
