Brian Kevin Hickey, 83 of Westport, Massachusetts, passed away on February 10, 2026 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, Brian was the beloved son of Michael and Anne Hickey. He was a devoted husband to Barbara Hickey and a loving father and grandfather.

Brian is survived by his son, Brian Hickey Jr. and his wife Elaine; his daughter, Jo-Anne Chagnon and her husband Richard Chagnon; and his many cherished grandchildren.

Brian attended Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he studied auto mechanics. He went on to work many years as a mechanic at Porier Buick in Fall River before continuing his career at Bob's Sport Shop in Westport, where he worked until his retirement. Brian had a true passion for gunsmithing and loved every aspect of the sport. He especially enjoyed talking with anyone who came into the shop, always willing to share his knowledge and enthusiasm.

Though often reserved and quiet, Brian was a kind and gentle man who treated those around him with warmth and respect. His steady presence and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A public visitation will be held at Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA, on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a funeral home service at 06:30 PM presided over by Life Celebrant and Chaplain Ines Bates.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fall River Kidney Center on Weaver Street.
