It is with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of our beloved Brooke Avelar, who left us far too soon on December 13th, 2025.

Born in Brockton, MA on March 30th, 1999, to Frank Avelar and the late Cheryl Hannan, Brooke's radiant spirit and infectious joy made an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Brooke was a beautiful soul, a kind heart, and a presence that brought light to those around her. No words can truly express how much she meant to her family.

Brooke is survived by her father, Frank Avelar, and his wife Jean, her siblings Brittany Avelar-Taylor and Brandon Avelar and many siblings. She leaves behind her love with her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cheryl Hannan.

A Public Visitation will be held in Brooke's honor on Sunday, December 21, 2025, 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723.
