Charles
Santos
Oct 10, 1952 — Jan 4, 2026
We mournfully announce the passing of Charles Louis Santos of Fall River, who entered eternal rest on January 4, 2026.
Born on October 10, 1952, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Charles lived a life defined by resilience, compassion, and a deep love for his family and community. Having faced and overcome many of life's challenges, he used his experiences to uplift and support others, always leading with empathy, understanding, and quiet strength.
Charles was a proud volunteer with the Peer2Peer organization and a dedicated advocate within the recovery community. He had a rare ability to connect with people from all walks of life, offering encouragement, hope, and a listening ear. His kindness and lived wisdom left a lasting impact on many, and he was a trusted friend to those who needed one most.
Above all, Charles was a devoted family man. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward—his sons, Rodney and Eric Santos; his cherished granddaughters, Aligia Hayston and Lorraine Santos; and his beloved great-grandson, A'saiah Howard. As a grandfather, he was loving, steady, and endlessly proud, finding his greatest joy in simply being present for those he loved. He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers, along with a close and caring circle of extended family and friends.
Charles found peace in life's simple pleasures. He loved being outdoors, whether playing golf, walking by the water, or making his daily corner store KENO runs. Time spent with his family—especially his granddaughters and great-grandson—meant everything to him, and those moments will be treasured forever.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a public visitation on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Southcoast Funeral Homes, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, located at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM.
We invite all who knew and loved Charles to celebrate his life and share memories on his memorial page. Photos and reflections honoring his spirit are warmly welcomed. As we remember Charles, may we honor his legacy by living with the same compassion, resilience, and generosity that defined his life.
Services are humbly entrusted to Southcoast Funerals at Ferreira Chapel "Celebrating a Life Well Lived."
