Obituary

Cheryl Nancy Fournier, born on April 30, 1948, in Fall River, Massachusetts, was a woman of grace and resilience, a gem of her community. Known for her radiant smile and spirit, she left us on June 18, 2026.

Cheryl was a proud native of Fall River, where she spent her entire life. She could be found enjoying many of her hobbies such as taking photos, spending times out in nature, she truly was an animal whisperer, she loved her animals and fed the community cats in her neighborhood. At one time Cheryl was an avid water skier and she had also worked in many retail stores.

Cheryl is survived by her loving sister, Melanie Connell and her partner Robert Trahan of Massachusetts, her sister Claire Greeson and her husband Robert of Florida, her younger sister Cassie Barboza and her husband Allan. She also leaves her love with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her caring parents, Thomas L. Connell JR and Claire (Fitzpatrick) Connell as well as her younger brother Thomas L. Connell III.

Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation at the Southcoast Funeral Home inside of the Ferreira Chapel at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723 on Thursday, June 25, 2026, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The Funeral Home Service will follow at 12 Noon. The Committal Service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02720 at 1:00 PM.
