Christine Anne Guilmette, known lovingly to those close to her as Christine, was an extraordinary individual who was born in Fall River, and born on November 14, 1951, she was a woman of great heart, humor, and resilience.

Christine was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her life was an embodiment of the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Christine was a woman of many passions. She loved spending time at home, often immersed in a thrilling game of Bingo Blitz or enjoying a quiet evening with her favorite Budweiser. Her dry wit and candid nature made her a joy to be around, and her love for "The Young and the Restless" was well known within her circle. Christine's most cherished moments, however, were spent with her family.

She was a proud mother to Cheryl Dias and her husband William Dias, and to Johnathan Paul Branco of Westport. She was a doting grandmother to Kenny, Kayla, Gage, Skye, Kelsey, and Ian, and a loving great-grandmother to Logan, Grayson, Azra, and Michael. Her love for her family was immense and unconditional and her role as a matriarch was one she wore with pride.

Christine was a diligent worker, respected by her colleagues at Ox Paper where she served as a packer. Her work ethic was admired by many, and her reliability was a trait that extended beyond her professional life and into her personal relationships. Christine is survived by her sisters, Cynthia Cavanaugh and Paula Snizek and was preceded in death by her parents, David and Anna Auger.

Her strong-will and giving nature will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate to know her. In the words of Leo Buscaglia, "The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises." Christine's life was a testament to these words. She planted seeds of love, shared her wisdom, and her smile was a source of joy to all who encountered it.

We invite all who knew Christine to join us in celebrating her life at a public visitation on Tuesday, 22 April 2025 from 08:30 AM - 10:30 AM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Louis Defrance Church, 56 Buffington Street, Swansea, MA
