We are gathered here today to honor and remember the remarkable life of Christopher Kenney, a man whose love for nature was only surpassed by his love for his family.

Born on the 29th of November, 1957 in New Bedford, MA, Christopher had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. Throughout his life, he was a beacon of strength, resilience, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Christopher's passion for the outdoors was evident in his chosen occupation. He spent his days as a self-employed tree cutter in Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, where he resided. His days were filled with the rustle of leaves, the creaking of barks, and the satisfaction of a job well done. He found tranquility in the sounds and sights of nature, and he made every effort to preserve its beauty. As John Muir said, "The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." Christopher found his universe among the trees.

Christopher is survived by his wife, Awatif Kenney, who stood by his side through the myriad of life's experiences. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Thomas Kenney and Maureen Kennedy.

A Committal Service with prayers will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02720.

As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Christopher not with sadness, but with the joy and love he brought to our lives.
