Claudette Pacheco a woman of strength, resilience, and boundless love, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026. Born on February 22, 1939, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Claudette was known for her deep and abiding love of animals, and for the gentle way she welcomed any stray in need. Her home was more than a place to live; it was a sanctuary where the vulnerable found care. Through small, everyday acts of mercy, she created a world of warmth and refuge. She saw souls in need of love, and she answered them with quiet compassion. Claudette leaves behind a legacy defined by empathy, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to the lives she touched—both human and animal alike.

Claudette was preceded in death by her loving parents, Elzear and Imelda Canuel and her husband Raymond Pacheco. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Rosalie Martel, Eugene Canuel, David Canuel, Michael Canuel, Paul Canuel, Bernadette Powers, and Theresa Cadieux, and Jeanne Gagnon.

Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a memorial visitation which will be held at the Southcoast Funeral Home inside the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723, on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The Celebration of Life will follow at the same location at 6:30 pm.
