Darrin
Silva
Jun 5, 1966 — Apr 11, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Darrin Lee Silva, a cherished brother, son, and friend. Born on June 5, 1966, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Darrin's life was a testament to resilience, courage, and an unwavering spirit. As Helen Keller once said, "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." Darrin embodied these words throughout his life.
Though his life was marked by medical challenges, Darrin never allowed his circumstances to define him or limit his impact on those around him. His strength and determination were an inspiration to all who knew him. His love for life was seen in his infectious laughter, his passion for storytelling, and his ability to find joy in the simplest of moments. His resilience, in the face of adversity, was a testament to his extraordinary spirit. His life was a continuous affirmation of Emily Dickinson's words: "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all."
Darrin is survived by his daughter and devoted brother. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph and Sheila Silva.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM. 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Southcoast Funeral Home, Fall River, Massachusetts.
Darrin's life was not defined by his challenges but by the love he shared, the friendships he cultivated, and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. As William Shakespeare beautifully put it, "Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow."
We invite everyone who knew Darrin to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. In doing so, we can ensure that his spirit continues to inspire and comfort us, reminding us of his enduring love, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering resilience.
