Obituary

Darwin E Finch Senior of Fall River Massachusetts passed away Tuesday, June 10 at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his son by his side.

He leaves behind his daughter, Dawn (husband David) Monte, son, Darrell Finch and daughter-in-law Debra Finch all of Fall River. He also leaves behind five siblings Bob (wife Dorothy) Finch, Nona Baker, Carol Brookes, Paul(wife Anne) Finch, Vern (wife Helen) Finch, sister in law Hueggette And many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Also known to most as "Finch". Darwin was a devout member of the Swansea First Baptist Church. Where he was a valued member of the choir for many years. He was a huge fan of WWE wrestling, loved animals and respected the work done at the Veterans Association in Fall River.

He was proceeded in death by his mother and father Bernard and Agnes Finch, his ex-wife Marilyn Richard, his son Darwin E Finch Junior, his daughter Pamela Couto and his four siblings Bill, Art, Norma and Jane.

Darwin was an active Army veteran for seven years. Serving during the Vietnam war in Okinawa Japan for a year and a half has a medic. After leaving the army he was employed at modern printing, Ross electric and Amaral bus company. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that you make a donation in his memory to Forever Paws or the Veterans Association of Bristol County.

Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation which will be held at the Southcoast funeral home, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4 PM to 08:00 PM, in keeping with his wishes, burial will occur in New York at his family cemetery in Vernon Center, New York later in the week privately.

In remembrance of Darwin we invite you to wear green as a symbol of love and remembrance.
