David P. Camara, age 81 of Fall River passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025 with his daughters by his side.

Born on March 3,1944 in Sao Vicente, Sao Miguel, Azores, David was the beloved husband of the late Gilberta Camara and the son of the late Silvino and Maria Camara.

Prior to retiring, David was the owner and cook at the Ilha Verde Restaurant on No. Main St. in Fall River until it closed due to a fire. He then took his love of cooking to the St. Michael's Restaurant until his retirement.

He loved to cook, going fishing, spending time outdoor in his garden and scratching his lottery tickets. But most of all he enjoyed his visits from family especially his granddaughters.

David is survived by his daughters Cyndie Mello (husband Steve) of Swansea, and Elaine Camara (partner Randy Silva) of Somerset; granddaughters Samantha Mello, Olivia, and Elena Silva, and many more nieces and nephews. David was a brother to Judith Dias of Fall River.
