With a heavy heart but a grateful spirit, we celebrate the life of David A. Paradise, a beacon of kindness and a lover of the simple joys of life. Born on January 16, 1951, in Fall River, Massachusetts, David's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, compassion, and the human spirit. He spent his entire life in the place of his birth, filling it with his infectious warmth and ceaseless generosity.

David was a man who understood the beauty of life's simple pleasures. His passion for fishing was not merely a hobby, but a reflection of his deep connection with nature and the peace it offered him. He was a man who cherished the Cape Cod Canal, Tiverton, and Elephant Rock fishing spots, often planning his time around these treasured locations. David was also a fervent animal lover and avid gardener, nurturing and caring for every creature and plant he encountered. His love for animals was so profound that he never minded when the beloved white husky, Snowball, would snatch his food before he could eat it. As Leo Tolstoy once said, "The highest form of wisdom is kindness", and David was indeed a man of great wisdom. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, always making sure others were fed before he himself ate. He loved playing checkers with his father when he was alive. He would always say the computer was never good enough when he played checkers on his phone.

David was not only a kind-hearted man but also a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had a special bond with his daughter, often delighting in sneaking her treats unbeknownst to her mother. David was a dedicated Patriots fan, his loyalty remaining unshakeable to his final moments.

He leaves a legacy of love, happy memories, and good times with his wife Mary Paradise to whom he was married for 56 years, his two children, his daughter Elaine-Tauni Paradise, and his son Jayson Paradise. His five grandchildren Andrew Paradise, Kyle Paradise, Trevor Teixeira, Destynee Labossiere, and Teala-Jayde Paradise. He also leaves behind his love with his great grandchildren, his siblings Arthur Paradise, Rudy Paradise, Tauni Paradise, and the late Bobby Paradise, and his nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Public Visitation which will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 04:00 PM - 06:00 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Homes, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723. This will be followed by a Celebration of David's life at the same venue at 06:00 PM presided over by Chaplain and Life Celebrant Ines Bates.
