It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debra Cioe, a beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister and Aunt, who departed this world on March 6, 2026. Born Debra Ann Menard on November 12, 1953, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Debra graced the lives of those around her with her warm heart, infectious laughter, and the kind of tenderness borne from a life of caring for others.
To quote Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Debra's life epitomizes this sentiment beautifully. As a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Kimwell, she spent her working days tending to those in need with an unshakeable kindness and empathy. She carried this nurturing spirit into every aspect of her life, and it was this quality that endeared her to all who knew her. Though her greatest accomplishment was the love she had for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with Debra felt seen, heard, and most importantly, loved. Her legacy is not just in the lives she touched through her work, but also in the vibrant and loving family she leaves behind.
Debra is predeceased by her lifelong companion, Gary Cioe, and her husband, Glen Cioe. Debra is survived by her Sons, Wilfred (Wife Stephanie), Aaron, and Walter Eli Cook; her grandson, Tyler Cook; her granddaughters, Willow, Garielle, Mya, Viviana, and Haley Cook; and her Great-grandsons, Jaxon Cook and Ky'Mari Spence. Her memory is continued on through her loving dog, Jada, who was always by her side. She is also survived by her sisters, Patricia Isadore (Husband Greg), Bernice Menard, and Lisa Botelho (Husband William). Along with many loving Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Jacqueline Menard; her brothers, Leon, Ronald (Wife Donna), Kenneth Menard, and Paul (Wife Judy).
Debra's loving spirit, her dedication to helping others, and her enduring influence on her family are her immortal legacy.
