Diane Marie Souza, born on a winter's eve in Fall River, Massachusetts, on the last day of 1962, was a beacon of light entering the world as the final gift of that year. With her passing on December 19, 2025, that light may have dimmed in our world but continues to shine brightly in our hearts.

Diane, a dedicated Lab Assistant at the Rhode Island Blood Center, was a woman of resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment towards her work.

Diane is survived by her two sons, Jacob Souza of Warwick, Rhode Island, and Seth Souza of Melrose, Massachusetts.

Her spirit is carried on by numerous family, friends and colleagues who were touched by her kind soul. She now joins her late parents, Oscar and Lucille Emond.
