FALL RIVER... Dionisio "Dennis" J. Sousa, age 62, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born St. Michael, Azores, Dennis was son of the late Belmiro and Zoraide (Borges) Sousa. Dennis lived in Fall River, MA for most of his life, moving from the Azores with his family as a young child. He was a graduate of Durfee High School and remained involved in his community throughout his life. He was well known for his time working at Amaral's Central Market as well as an active member of Christ the Rock Assembly of God. Dennis loved to watch the New York Yankees and the Boston Bruins. Most of all, he loved playing with his nephew when he was young and spending time with his family. Survivors include: sister, Deborah Mota and husband, Augusto, of Fall River, MA; nephew, Jeffrey Mota; and many, many cousins. In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his grandparents and many uncles and aunts. Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place at 8 PM on Friday, November 17, 2023 at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA. Calling hours will take place from 6 PM to 8 PM in the funeral home prior to the service.
