With great sadness, we announce the passing of Dorothy C. Gifford, who left us on March 31, 2025. Born on May 21, 1976, in Fall River, MA, Dorothy was a beacon of light to all who knew her. She was a vibrant woman, filled with love, strength, and an indomitable spirit. As Maya Angelou so eloquently put it, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Dorothy lived by these words, leaving an indelible mark of kindness and warmth on everyone she met.

Throughout her life, Dorothy was the epitome of dedication and resilience. She worked as a receptionist at Blount Fine Foods, where her welcoming smile and upbeat personality made the office a brighter place. Her colleagues cherished her dedication, her zest for life, and her ability to bring joy into any room she entered. As Steve Jobs once said, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do." Dorothy's love for her work was evident in her every action and her every interaction.

A beautiful heart, Dorothy, "Dotti", "Da" left this world too soon, and leaves behind her three beautiful children, Lea, Naomi and Sofia. They were her world. Not a day went by that they weren't in her thoughts, conversation and prayers. Also, deeply in heart were her nephews Dominic; son Logan, and Mason. She gave so much love to others and never asked for it in return.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Armando and Ms. Silva. She is survived by her husband, Eric Gifford. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 07:30 PM at Southcoast Funeral Home, located at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723. A Catholic funeral home service will follow at the same location at 07:30 PM. As we remember Dorothy, let's not dwell on her departure, but rather celebrate the life she lived, the love she shared, and the impact she had on those around her.
