It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Dorvalino Pereira Carreiro of Fall River on Saturday, January 03, 2026 at Saint Luke's Hospital, New Bedford.
Dorvalino was from Agua Retorta, Azores and immigrated to the United States of America and settled in Fall River, Massachusetts.
He is survived by his loving wife Alda Maria Carreiro, his son Luis Carreiro and wife Thelma, Granddaughter, Larissa, his sister in law Catarina wife of the late Manuel, his sister in law Natalia wife of the late Norberto, and his youngest brother Euclides. His legacy lives on with his many nieces, nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws in the US and in Agua Retorta, Azores.
Dorvalino is predeceased by his parents, Luis Carreiro, and Maria B. Pereira, his daughter Tracy Carreiro of Fall River, and his late brothers Manuel Carreiro and Norberto Carreiro
Dorvalino loved making people laugh and always making new friends everywhere he went. He was a member of Don Carlos Club and St. Anthony Band Club. He would always lend a helping hand at the church preparing food for the church festivals. He was a super big fan of the Benfica soccer team. Loved working on his vegetable garden in the summer time. Also loved traveling to his home town Agua Retorta, Azores.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 08:30 AM - 09:30 AM at Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at Saint Anthony of Padua Parish, Bedford Street, Fall River, Massachusetts. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect Street Fall River.
