It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elithia Mary Martin, a beloved mother, tutor, and cherished member of the Fall River community. Born on the 20th of September, 1954, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Elithia lived a life of service and dedication, leaving behind a glowing legacy. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once stated, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." This quote perfectly encapsulates Elithia's life and how she chose to live it.

Elithia (Ellie) Martin was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts, on September 20th, 1954. Her parents were the late Raymond and Geraldine Marcoux, also from Fall River.

She served in the armed forces for a time and then went to college to become an education professional.

Elithia was a private person, but an avid animal lover. She enjoyed taking care of her pets and donating to animal welfare charities. She was also a devout Catholic, and though she could not attend church in her latter days, she would watch the mass on television every Sunday.

Her hobbies included reading, gardening, watching television, listening to the radio, and shopping. She had no siblings but is survived by her only daughter, Faith Bon Jovi.

In keeping with Elithia's wishes there will be no services.               In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Gates of Hope Inc. Donations will go to the Pet Food Pantry.
