Elizabeth Almeida (54) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 30, 2026, born July 18, 1971, in Fall River, MA, was a radiant light in this world, filled with an unmatched sense of love, kindness, and a zest for life.
Known for her love of summer, Elizabeth, or Liz as she was lovingly called, was a devotee of the sunshine. She thrived in the great outdoors, cherishing camping trips, relaxing by the pool, and the simple joy of cooking on the grill. Her love for life was infectious and through her positivity, she inspired those lucky enough to know her.
Elizabeth was a dedicated home aid assistant, demonstrating a remarkable inclination for helping others. Her compassionate nature extended to her love for animals, particularly her cherished dogs, Buddy and Quinn. Above all, Elizabeth was a devoted mother to her daughter, Marissa Lynn Richard. Elizabeth's legacy of love, warmth, and resilience also lives on in her nephew, David Kut, her cousin Sharon O'Connor, her cousin's husband, Brett O'Connor, and her best friend Kristen Cabral and son Jacob Cabral.
Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Sigmund Kut and Jean Gizzi. She is also predeceased by her son Nicholas Almeida. Her life was a living embodiment of the quote by Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Elizabeth's impact was immeasurable, her spirit unforgettable.
Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, February 12, 2026, with a public visitation, 04:00 PM - 06:30 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723. The Celebration of Life will follow at 06:30 PM presided over by Chaplain and Life Celebrant Ines Bates. Her life will be celebrated also with her son Nicholas Almeida at the same time and same venue, please see his obituary for his details.
