Elvia
Valle
May 20, 1950 — Jan 11, 2026
Elvia Conception Valle, our beloved mother was born on May 20, 1950, and passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 11, 2026 after a courageous battle with Gleoblastoma.
Elvia Valle was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico where she spent the first 16 years of her life before making her way to New Bedford MA.
She was the daughter of the late Ana Celia Concepcion Galarza and Heriberto "Lile" Galarza.
Elvia had a rare gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family.
We remember her for the loving mother she was. She was most beautiful and ever so kind. Every path she crossed would feel the presence of a strong intelligent woman. Her loving spirit touched everyone she met. Her warmth and compassion knew no limits, and she gave freely of her heart to all.
She was deeply loved more than she may have ever known. Elvia's absence will be felt profoundly by all who were blessed to know her.
While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind. We hold onto the hope that one day we will be reunited, and until then, her love will continue to live on in us.
Elvia is survived by her devoted children: Amy Ramos, Everisto Hilerio, Maria Hilerio, Hector Hilerio, and Travis Ramos.
She is also survived by her beloved siblings: Angelo Galarza, Elizabeth Llorca, Wendy Galarza, Lisa Galarza, Steven Galarza and Annamarie Belmiro.
She was predeceased by her late brothers: Frankie Galarza and Heriberto Galarza Jr.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
We invite all those whose lives were touched by Elvia to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. May her legacy live on in our hearts and actions.
