Fatima G Lopes, 67, of Fall River, passed away on April 23, 2025 after a brief illness surrounded by loving family at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Fatima was born July 30th 1957 in Ribeira Grande St Michael's Azores, the daughter of the late Angelina Gonsalves Lopes and Manuel Pedro Mare Lopes.
Fatima graduated from High School in 1974. She became an American citizen on October 7, 1977. She went to school to become a CNA and then worked at the Old Truesdale Clinic. Then she became a stay at home mom. Fatima loved cooking, the casino, playing games and watching TV. She liked to watch cooking channels, mysteries, and Hallmark. Fatima was a member of the Former Our Lady of Health Church.
Remaining to cherish Father of her kids Antonio M Pacheco and her children, Peter A Pacheco and Elizabeth A Guiomar both of Fall River. Also her belated daughter Jacqueline Pacheco-Rankin from Westport MA. Her beloved grandchildren Mellany A Munroe, John Rankin III, and Brenda A Guiomar all from Fall River MA. She left behind several nephews and nieces.
Fatima is survived by her brother Joaquin Lopes in Fall River Ma. Belated siblings, Manuel Lopes from Taunton Ma, Francisco Lopes, Elvira L Carvalho and Liduina G. Vieira who all lived in Fall River MA.
We invite all who knew Fatima to join us in celebrating her life at a public visitation on Monday, 28 April 2025 from 04:00 PM - 07:00 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 29 April 2025 at 10:00 AM at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Bedford Street, Fall River. Services will conclude with a graveside prayer service at Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Robeson Street, Fall River.
