Obituary

Felicia Taveras, born on the 4th of March, 1952, in the picturesque town of Nagua, Dominican Republic, was an exemplary woman who brought joy, warmth and comfort to those fortunate enough to have known her. She lived a life full of love, kindness, and endless generosity. Felicia's radiant smile and compassionate spirit were her trademarks, often leading to her being described as the heart of her community in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Felicia, in her 73 years, was a devoted daughter, a loving wife, and a caring mother.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mario Morales, and her dear parents, Antonio Ramos and Antonia Tavares. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her children, who were the apples of her eye.

Felicia was a woman of strength, who despite never being officially employed, worked tirelessly to provide for her family and create a warm and welcoming home. As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Felicia lived by this principle, touching lives and leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of those she encountered.

Felicia's life will be celebrated with a public visitation scheduled for Monday, 11 August 2025 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723.

She will be laid to rest the same day at 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02720.

As we gather to remember and celebrate Felicia's life, we reflect on the words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."
