FALL RIVER... Francelina DeJesus (Inacio) Ferreira, 93, of Fall River passed away July 19, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Antonio L. Ferreira to whom he had been married for 67 years prior to his passing. Born in Vilarinho Louisa, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Evaristo and Gracinda da Conceicao (Silva) Inacio. Francelina moved to Fall River in 1974 with her family. Mrs. Ferreira was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish. She worked for many years as a machine operator in the local textile industry. She loved gardening and tending to her plants but above all else, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. Survivors include her daughter: Maria Albernaz and her husband Alfredo DaFonceca of Dartmouth; her son: Luis Ferreira and his wife Paula of Warren, RI; her brother: Luis Inacio and his wife Alice of Fall River; 6 grandchildren, a niece and nephew along with several great grandchildren. Visitation and funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 8 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Stafford Road Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
