FALL RIVER... Francis G. Bernard, age 80, passed away at home on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Francis was born in Brockton, MA to the late Gordon and Winona (Bryar) Bernard. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Stewart) Bernard, with whom he lived in Fall River, MA. Francis served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, he became a truck driver and was a 26 year member of Teamsters Local 653 out of Easton, MA. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for Hallamore Transportation, based on Holbrook, MA. Francis spent his free time racing pigeons and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife, survivors include: daughter, Sheila Bernard of Florida, Janiene Spadaro of Fall River, MA, Tammy Couture and her husband Christopher of Fall River, MA, Rhonda Bernard and her partner Kevin Sauta of Pocasset, MA; sister, Freida Simmons of Holbrook, MA; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Francis was predeceased by his daughter, the late Sonya Bernard, brothers, the late Carl Bernard and Frederick Bernard, and his sister, the late Judy Pedro. In lieu of flowers send contributions to the Disabled Veterans or any cause of your choice. Services will be private.

He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and sense of humor. He truly brought the life to the party with his boisterous personality. He was a loyal friend.
