NEW BEDFORD ... Gabriel Acevedo, 40, of New Bedford passed away, Friday, December 8, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, a son of the Late Pablo and Minerva (Rosario) Acevedo and had lived in New Bedford since 2017. Mr. Acevedo was a loving son and brother. He adores being with his family and friends. Everywhere Gabriel went he brought laughter. His unique sense of humor will never be forgotten. Gabi loved his New York Yankees and Dolphins. He was a big kid at heart and enjoyed playing video games with his nieces and nephews. Gabriel was an amazing Godfather to all his godchildren. Survivors include 5 brothers: Carlos; Pablo Jr.; Nathanel; Manoa; Eliseo; 4 sisters: Norma; Merari; Yasmin; Samantha; many nieces and nephews. Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday following call hours 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Interment is in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River, MA.
