George O'Keeffe died in Milton, MA on August 18, 2026, with his supportive family nearby, of longstanding causes related to the aging process.

He was born in Milton, MA; graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, Boston College and the Carroll School of Management.

George worked as a distribution manager in various U.S. locations for the Stop & Shop Co., Shell Oil Co, TWA and Digital Equipment Corporation. In retirement he has lived in West Harwich on Cape Cod.

His parents were George W. O'Keeffe, Sr. and Margaret A. (O'Keeffe) Carew, both late of Milton, MA.

He is survived by his brother Kevin O'Keeffe and sister-in-law Frédérique O'Keeffe of Milton, MA; his nephew Gregory O'Keeffe (Kylen) and grand-niece Josephine of New Canaan, CT; his nephew Andrew O'Keeffe (Caroline Swetlitz) of Portland, ME; and cousins of the Ormond family on Cape Cod.

His family will always remember his generosity and helpfulness, his love of our children, his 25 years of kindness to dogs Douglas and Jason; and his joy at the very end of his days seeing in pictures of his newborn grand-niece Josephine a circle of life and a new family generation.
