With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Gerardo Aponte Ortiz who left us on September 16, 2025. Born on April 24, 1968, in the beautiful town of Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, Gerardo lived a life that was as vibrant and colorful as his birthplace. Gerardo was a man who wore many hats, but he was best known for his work as a handyman in Fall River, Massachusetts, where he resided. His work was an embodiment of his personality—meticulous, reliable, and always filled with an infectious enthusiasm.

Gerardo was a single thread in the fabric of life that left a vibrant streak of bold colors. His magnetic personality, warm heart, and hearty laughter made him a beacon of light in the lives of everyone he met. He was a dedicated father to his treasured daughter, Geryann Rivera, who survives him and will continue his legacy of love, strength, and resilience.

Gerardo was preceded in death by his loving parents, Roberto Aponte and Fundadora Ortiz. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of his enduring spirit. "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose; all that we love deeply becomes a part of us," said Helen Keller. Gerardo may no longer be with us physically, but his spirit, his love, and his memories will remain embedded in the hearts and minds of those who loved him.
