It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Geri Martin, born Geri Gagnon on December 3, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. A beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, she departed from this world on September 20, 2026.

A beacon of resilience and strength, Geri spent her life as an embodiment of the quote, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." She was a pillar of support to her family, friends, and her community in Somerset, Massachusetts, where she resided. She devoted much of her professional life to serving others in her role at Starwood, showing an unfaltering dedication to customer service. In retirement, Geri found joy and solace in the simple pleasures of life. She was a voracious reader, a lover of music, and a skillful crochet artist. Her creations, like her, were full of warmth, colour, and intricate beauty.

Geri will be deeply missed by her son, Lucas Martin, and her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Benjamin Deem. Her memory will continue to inspire her grandson, Wyatt Deem. Geri’s warmth will live on in the heart of her significant other, Christian Wilson, and in the hearts of her sisters, Conny Burke and Diane Gagnon. Geri is preceded in death by her adoptive parents, George and Winifred Gagnon, her biological parents, Richard Hebert and Tina Harvey, her son, Jacob Martin, and her sister, Erica Harvey.
