It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Geri Martin, born Geri Hebert on December 3, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. Upon her adoption by the Gagnon family, she became Geri Gagnon. A beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend departed from this world on September 20, 2026, in Somerset, MA.

A beacon of resilience and strength, Geri spent her life as an embodiment of the quote, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." She was a pillar of support to her family and friends. In retirement, she devoted much of her time to her family. Throughout her life, Geri found joy and solace in the simple pleasures of life. She was a voracious reader, a lover of music, and a skillful crochet artist. Her creations, like her, were full of warmth, color, and intricate beauty.

Geri will be deeply missed by her son, Lucas Martin, her daughter, Kimberly Deem, and her significant other, Christian Wilson. Her legacy will live on with her grandson, Wyatt Deem. Geri’s warmth will continue on in the hearts of her sisters, Conny Burke and Diane Gagnon. Geri is preceded in death by her son, Jacob Martin, her biological parents, Richard and Tina Nadine (Harvey) Hebert, her sister, Erica Harvey, and her adoptive parents, George and Winifred Gagnon.

Geri's life was indeed well-lived, and she has left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Mom was the compass that guided us, the warmth that sheltered us, and the heart of our family. Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
