Gloria Marie-Jean Gastall, born on February 24, 1945 in Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on August 6, 2025.

Gloria was a beacon of love, laughter, and care to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." As a hairdresser, personal care assistant, and childcare provider, Gloria found immense satisfaction in making a difference to others. She was a true caretaker at heart; her kindness and compassion bloomed in every role she undertook.

Gloria's love for life was contagious. She filled her world with music, laughter, and cherished memories. Her love for classic rock led to many memorable concerts with her children during their teenage years. Gloria, with her infectious enthusiasm, was the biggest fan of her son Carl's band. She treasured the sweet moments of camaraderie, as she played Yahtzee with the band members and baked them cakes. As Henry David Thoreau once said, "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see." Gloria saw beauty and joy in these simple moments, and they brought her immeasurable happiness.

Gloria is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlton, with whom she shared her life from the age of 15 until his passing in 2023. She is also predeceased by her son, Carl Gastall, and her mother, Rita Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri Gastall, her son David Gastall, and her son Corey Gastall, who took over his father's role in taking care of Gloria. Corey was her best friend, her partner in laughter, and the joy of her later years. Gloria's grandson, Carl (CJ) Gastall, also survives her. Gloria's love for her family was boundless, and the same can be said for her love for her pets, Bandit, Fudgie, Pinky, Dolly, and Ollie, Gloria also had a special place in her heart for Leon as well, anytime she would be dog sitting for her daughter he would bring her so much happiness and laughter, all the pets brought her immense joy, happiness, and comfort.
