FALL RIVER ... Gloria M. (Medeiros) Newcome, 79, of Fall River died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, after a brief illness. She was the wife of John N. Newcome of Fall River. She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Cristiano and Mary (Viveiros) de Medeiros and had been a life long resident of the city. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Newcome was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church in Fall River and enjoyed playing bingo. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, 2 sons: Charles M. Newcome of Daytona, FL and Patrick D. Newcome of Fall River, a daughter Deborah M. Velozo of Assonet, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John D. Newcome and Christopher J. Newcome. She was the sister of the late Manuel Medeiros. Private services are at the request of the family. Arrangements are by the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River.
