FALL RIVER ... Grace (Abate) Proulx, 88, of Fall River died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 after a brief illness. She was the widow of Wilfred Proulx, Sr. She was born in Bristol, Rhode Island a daughter of the late Andrew and Maria (Ferrara) Abate and had lived in Fall River Most of her life. She was a communicant of St's Peter and Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church, Pulaski St., Fall River. She died at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Fall River Manufacturing. Mrs. Proulx is survived by 2 sons: Wilfred Proulx, Jr. of NH and Steven Proulx of Fall River, a daughter Rosemary Dias of Fall River, a brother Salvatore Abate of Long Island, NY, 3 sisters: Anna Dallaire of Bristol, Frances Coury, and Rose Andreozzi both of Barrington, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joyce Parent. She was the sister of the late Fortunata Abate, Charles Abate, and Frank Abate. . Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 8AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River (508-672-0291) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St's Peter and Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church, Pulaski Street, Fall River at 9AM. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Sunday 6 - 8 PM.
