With deep affection and respectful homage, we celebrate the life of Hector Melendez Acosta, who was born in the sunlit city of Ponce, Puerto Rico, on the 5th of April, 1974, and passed away on the 17th of January, 2026.

Hector, a cherished father, son, brother, and friend, was a man of character whose spirit was as vibrant as the paintings he created. Making Fall River, Massachusetts, his home, Hector worked as a painter.

Friends and Family are cordically invited to attend a public visitation which will be held on Friday, 23 Jan 2026 at 05:00 PM - 08:00 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723.

The funeral service will follow on Saturday, 24 Jan 2026 at 09:00 AM at the same venue. Afterward, a committal service will take place at 11:30 AM at Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02720.
