WESTPORT... Herbert G. Tondreau, 94, of Treasure Island, FL and Westport, MA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 25, 2023.

He was the loving husband of the late Mary E. "Peggy" (O'Neill) Tondreau and long-time loving companion of Claudette (Duquette) Bisson of Westport. Born in Dartmouth, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Yvonne (Manville) Tondreau.

Mr. Tondreau served in the United States Navy, Coast Guard and Army where he attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer and retired in 1991 after 44 years of total service. During this time, he worked as a Police Officer for the Town of Dartmouth. He was a communicant and Eucharistic Minster for St. George Church in Westport and St. John Vianney Catholic Church in St. Pete Beach, FL. He was a member of the International Police Association, The Dartmouth Police Association, the Massachusetts Police Association, and the Military Officer's Association. In his down time, Herb enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his friends and family, cruising, and spending time in Florida.

Along with his companion, survivors include his daughters: Elizabeth Marcotte of Georgia, Alicia Leve of Florida, Karen Meyer of New Jersey, and his son, Kelly Tondreau of Dartmouth; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. George Church, 12 Highland Avenue Westport, MA 02790. Interment will be private.
