Jacqueline (Fournier) DeCosta, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1951, in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Jacqueline was a strong, fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose heart was as big as her personality. She had a rare gift for making people laugh and feel welcome, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Known for her generosity and compassion, Jacqueline proudly served as a DCF ambassador and found great joy in giving back to her community.

She had a deep love for animals—especially turtles and horses—and an even deeper love for children, always making sure to support causes close to her heart, including St. Jude Children's Hospital. Above all else, family meant everything to her.

Jacqueline absolutely adored her husband of 36 years, and the love of her life, Kenneth DeCosta. Together, they shared a passion for travel, adventure, and making memories. Jacqueline was fearless and full of joy—she loved roller coasters, horseback riding, and spending time at her favorite places, Six Flags and Disney.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth DeCosta; her daughter, Jodi DeCosta; her son David Cabeceiras; her granddaughter, Melissa Sampson and husband David Sampson; her grandsons, Chad DeJesus, David Cabeceiras Jr., and Cory Cabeceiras; her sister, Paulette Fournier; her great-grandson, Liam Sampson; and her foster daughter, Jasmine Henderson.

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Lissa Cabeceiras; her mother, Yvonne Fournier; her father, Norman Fournier; and her brothers, Marcel and Nelson Fournier.

In accordance with Jacqueline's wishes, no formal services will be held. Those wishing to honor her memory are invited to make a donation in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a cause that meant so much to her.
