Obituary

James Norman Hall, 85 passed away peacefully at Saint Anne's Hospital on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

He was the loving husband of Eileen Hall (DeCosta) with whom he shared 62 years of a warm and loving marriage.

James was born on Sunday, August 27, 1939, in Spray, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Edward G. Hall and Jennie B. Hall (Gossett).

James proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at the Otis Air Force Base, which is how he met his beloved wife, Eileen. They enjoyed many a Saturday night roller skating at Lincoln Park in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. James was a proud family man who enjoyed his time with friends and family and having family gatherings. He had many hobbies but enjoyed most photography, gardening, nature, fishing, boating, and bowling. One thing James could always be found doing is watching his sports, he was an avid New England Sports fan. He was a man of great faith who enjoyed reading the bible daily, and spending time with the Lord. James was a hard worker and had a keen eye and mind for engineering, he retired as a Mechanical Engineer after many successful years in his trade and craft.

James leaves a legacy of love, happiness, and fond memories with his wife Eileen, his 4 children, son Richard J. Hall and his wife Michele of New Jersey, daughter Deanne L. Hall and her husband Charles of Tiverton, and daughter Linda V. Williamson and her husband Christopher of Minnesota. James was predeceased in life by his son Mark J. Hall of Johnston, Rhode Island. He also leaves his memory and love with his 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. James leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

James's services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, beginning with a public visitation inside of the North Tiverton Baptist Church, at 198 Main Road, Tiverton, Rhode Island. Commencing at 09:00 AM and concluding at 10:00 AM. A Funeral Service will be conducted from the North Tiverton Baptist Church, 198 Main Road, Tiverton, Rhode Island following visitation. Interment with United States Air Force Military Honors will conclude James's funeral services inside of the Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton, Rhode Island.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in James' memory to North Tiverton Baptist Church, or your favorite charity.
