It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Janice Margaret Sullivan, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.

Born on June 30, 1938, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Janice leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a life richly lived. Maya Angelou once said, "You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them," and Janice was a testament to this.

Janice was a remarkable woman who embraced life with open arms. Her passions extended far beyond her professional life. Janice was a passionate animal lover who found joy in the companionship of her two cherished dogs, Jamie, the Golden Retriever, and Fred, the Basset Hound. An avid knitter and crocheter, she wove not only threads but also the fabric of her community. She held leadership positions in the Elks Club and the Emblem Club, where she tirelessly worked on fundraisers. She loved to travel and was particularly fond of cruises, a testament to her spirit of adventure and curiosity about the world.

Janice is survived by her two sons, David Neville, and Michael Neville, along with his wife, Charlene. She was a doting grandmother to Jared Neville of Somerset and Chelsea Mele, and her husband, Giovanni, of Tiverton. Janice's life was enriched by the presence of her dear friend of over 40 years, Richard W. Hanatow of Somerset, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Sullivan, and her three siblings, Maureen Goncalo of Connecticut, Gerald Sullivan of Fall River, and Paul B. Sullivan of Swansea.

Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation which will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, 03:00 PM - 05:30 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723. Following visitation a Celebration of Life will be held at 05:30 PM at the same venue presided over by Chaplain and life Celebrant Ines Bates.

As we come together to honor Janice's life, we invite all who knew her to share their memories, experiences, and photographs on the memorial page. In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Janice will forever remain in our hearts, her spirit reflected in the love and warmth she brought to our lives.
