Jason David
Mercer
Sep 2, 1998 — Sep 7, 2026
Fall River, MA
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jason "JD" Mercer, a beacon of love and laughter, whose resilient spirit and courageous heart touched everyone who knew him. Born on September 2, 1998, in Fall River, MA, Jason lived his life with an infectious joy that was truly inspiring. His departure on September 7, 2026, leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives, but his memory will always be a source of comfort and strength.
Jason was a constant source of love, laughter, and strength. His sense of humor was infectious, brightening up even the darkest days. He was an avid fan of the shows, 'Ridiculousness' and 'The Three Stooges,' and his laughter was enough to brighten anyone’s day. A ten-pin enthusiast, Jason's love for bowling was unmatched, and his moments of joy at the bowling alley will be fondly remembered. Jason's proudest achievement was graduating from the Schwartz Center in 2020, a testament to his determination and courage. As Maya Angelou once said, "Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently." Jason embodied this sentiment beautifully.
At the heart of Jason's life was his family, who he cherished deeply. His loving nature and protective instincts made him a beloved uncle to his niece, Jaleina Curran, and his nephews, Jaydon Curran, Josohn Curran, and Jonathan Pimental. His bond with his Uncle Chad Mercer and his wife Melissa Mercer, and his grandmother Paulette Silvia meant the world to him. He is survived by his beloved siblings, Haley Curran, Kendra Mercer, and Corey Mercer. He was preceded in death by his father, Jason Mercer, and his mother, Crystal Curran. His absence is a silent grief, their lives forever marked by his gentle touch.
Please join us in celebrating the life of Jason Mercer, a loving, funny, resilient, and courageous soul. We encourage you to share your precious memories of Jason and to help us remember his beautiful life and the joy he brought into ours.
