Obituary

Jennifer “Jenn” Cournoyer, of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Jenn was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and later enjoyed a successful career at AT&T.

Jenn had a spirit that could light up a room. Her warmth, humor, fierce loyalty, and unmistakable personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her life, Jenn courageously faced the challenges of polycystic kidney disease. Although her journey was marked by difficult battles, she never allowed those struggles to overshadow her love of life or the people who shared it with her. She was a fighter, a friend, a fierce protector of those she loved, and, in her own unforgettable way, a true Bad Ass.

Jenn treasured her family, her friendships, her beloved cats, and the magic of Halloween. Each year, she eagerly awaited the arrival of spring and the blooming of her beautiful irises. These simple joys reflected the warmth and beauty she brought into the lives of others.

Above all, Jenn's greatest joy was being a mother to her daughter, Ava. The love she held for her daughter was immeasurable, and the time they shared was among her life's greatest treasures.

Jenn is survived by her husband, Timothy Cournoyer; her daughter, Ava Cournoyer; her stepson, Randall A. W. Hewins; her sister, Faith Platt, and her husband, Mike, of Westport; and her brother, Chris Branco, of Fall River.

She also leaves behind many nieces, cousins, countless friends, and her beloved cats.

Jenn was predeceased by her parents, John and Alice Branco, and her brother, John Branco.

Though her struggles were great, the love, laughter, and light she brought into this world were greater. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation.
