Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Jennifer Mcleod, a devoted mother, cherished family member, and steadfast friend, who left this world on September 10th, 2026 at the age of 69.

Born in Georgetown, Guyana to Doreen Kellman, Reginald Peters, Jennifer possessed a spirit that was rare and unforgettable from a very young age. Wise beyond her years, she was the person her family and friends turned to for guidance, comfort, and unwavering truth. She had an innate clarity about what truly mattered in life, navigating its challenges with a grace and insight that left a lasting imprint on everyone she met.

Above all else, Jennifer was a mother whose love knew no bounds. She was a fierce protector and a gentle harbor for her children, Roxanne, Sherwayne, Shamane, Shamar and Kirk. Her strength was not just in her resilience through life's trials, but in her unshakeable resolve to always shield, support, and uplift her family. Yet, that fierce strength was perfectly balanced by a deep, boundless compassion. She listened without judgment, loved without condition, and had an extraordinary capacity to make everyone around her feel seen, valued, and safe.

Her home was a reflection of her heart a place of warmth, laughter, and open arms. Whether she was offering sage advice over a cup of tea, sharing a quiet moment of understanding, or celebrating her children's milestones, Jennifer poured her entire soul into motherhood. Her legacy is not only in the lessons she taught, but in the extraordinary kindness, strength, and spiritual faith she modeled every single day.

Jennifer is survived by her loving children, her wonderful grandchildren and family abroad and the lives of those that are forever brighter for having known her.

Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a celebration of Jennifer’s life which will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2026, 9:00 AM - 10:45 AM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723. Committal service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery, 765 Prospect Street, Fall River, MA.

“A mother’s love is peace. It need not be acquired, it need not be deserved.” Though she has left our sight, her wisdom guides us, her strength sustains us, and her love remains eternal.
