Joan E. Rocha, born on January 25, 1940, in Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on February 27, 2025. A woman of strength and resilience. Born into the loving arms of her parents, Emile and Loretta, Joan's early years were filled with laughter, love, and an enduring sense of family.

Joan spent her professional life in the bustling world of shipping and receiving at Bay Sailing Equipment. Her dedication and commitment were mirrored in her work ethic, making her a valued asset to the team. She embraced every challenge that came her way, unafraid of the rough tides, much like the sailing equipment she worked with.

Joan's most cherished role was that of a mother.

While Joan may no longer be with us, her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we remember Joan, may we find comfort in the words of Leo Buscaglia, "Death is a challenge. It tells us not to waste time... It tells us to tell each other right now that we love each other."
