Jody Alves, born on February 8, 1962, in Fall River, MA, USA, passed away on August 17, 2025 after a brave battle with cancer. Jody was a lifelong resident of Fall River, Massachusetts, where he was known for his talented craftsmanship. He showcased his skilled hands as a carpenter in the Rhode Island Carpenters Union, a testament to his talent. Jody was a member of the Elks Lodge, where he formed numerous lasting friendships.

He was happiest when he was by the water or on the beach. He loved camping and creating beautiful memories around campfires. His passion for motorcycle riding was well known, as was his love for sharing a beer with friends. These simple pleasures brought him joy and created lasting memories for those lucky enough to share in them.

Jody is survived by his mother, Patricia Alves; his daughter, Nicole Mashack and her husband, Colin; his brothers, Scott and Kyle Alves; and his ex-wife, Michelle DeCosta. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Alves.
