FALL RIVER... John J. Carvalho, age 43, passed away at home on Saturday, July 22, 2023. John leaves behind his long-time companion, Rhonda Hoffman of Fall River, with whom he shared 18 years. Born in New Bedford, MA, John was the son of Alcino Jorge Carvalho of the Azores and the late Barbara (Coolis) Carvalho. He later moved to Fall River, MA, where he lived most of his life. John enjoyed music of all kinds and watching television. He loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his companion, Rhonda, and his father, Jorge, survivors include: step-daughter, Brianna Elwood; sisters, Pamela McGlamory of Georgia, Michelle Carvalho of Fall River, MA, and Katrina Carvalho of Fall River, MA; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, many of Connecticut and upstate New York.
