FALL RIVER... John J. Cote, age 51, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River to Laura (Varin) Bouchard (husband Robert) of Fall River and Arthur J. Cote (wife Deborah) of Swansea, MA , MA, John lived most of his life in the city. He was the former companion of Zita Borges of Seekonk, MA. Mr. Cote was a skilled carpenter. He enjoyed being by the water, fishing and boats. He loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, survivors include: daughter, Tiffany Cote of Swansea, MA; son, Gary Borges of Seekonk, MA; brothers, Joseph Cote and Jason Cote, both of Fall River, and step-brother Jeremy Petrosso of Swansea, MA; sister, Cheryl Cote of Fall River, MA and step-sister Casey Petrosso of Swansea, MA; 4 grandchildren, Snow, Skye, Tobias, and Stella; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 11 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River, MA 02723, followed by interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Fall River. Visitation will be held Monday from 9 - 11 AM, prior to the service.
